The KII is used in environmental control its designed to detect, and analyse electromagnetic energy which is produced by many things in both the natural and manmade world. It is believed that what we perceive as spirits or entities, have a close association with this form of energy, whether they comprise of it or draw it from their surroundings is still part of the mystery. What we do know is that EMF readings, as they are known, often seem to be present at the same time as paranormal activity making the KII an absolute must in the field of Paranormal investigation.
The KII is primarily used to try and make communication with spirits by requesting that they move towards the device and respond to our questions by utilising this energy which results in the lights flashing on command.
The REM POD is a small and compact device, which is also an essential item in the world of ghost hunting equipment. The word REM stands for Radiating Electro-Magneticity. A Rem Pod is characterised as having an antenna that covers a range of 360 degrees. It can detect disturbances and changes surrounding the antenna.
The Rem Pod creates an electro-magnetic field which if broken will cause the Rem Pod to make a sound and activate the lights to alert the ghost hunter that it has been triggered. Similarly to the KII meter it can be used to make communication with spirits by asking them to come close to the antenna to trigger it on command.
EVP are sounds found on electronic recordings that can be interpreted as spirit voices.
The Panasonic DR60 is considered one of the best recorders to capture these spirit voices. It is long since discontinued by Panasonic which makes very rare (and expensive!). The DR60 has a ‘voice activated system’ (VAS) feature which means it only records when sound is detected else recording automatically pauses. With that in mind, where you would expect silence there is often unexplained voices recorded which are usually in direct response to the questions being asked by the investigator!
Pendulums work are the same idea as dowsing rods in that they do the same job and can be used for the same purpose. Primarily they are used to answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the questions being asked by the investigator.
The SLS Camera is a ghost hunting camera specifically designed to be able to search and explore for spirits. The SLS Camera works by sending out thousands of infrared beams using a monochrome CMOS sensor. These beams of infrared light bounce around and hit all objects in the room and are used to build a 3D model of all the objects in front of it. Using a skeletal tracker, it can recognise people (and ghosts!) which are displayed as a stick figure on screen.
These motion activated balls are very sensitive to movement so can be used as a trigger object during investigations. They are activated by pressing the red button on the top, then they will sit dormant, until even the slightest movement is detected, in which case the LED lights to flash for 5 seconds before going into standby mode again. As it is believed that spirits sometimes have the ability to interact with and manipulate objects, trigger objects such as these are a quick and simple way to set up an experiment during an investigation.
